Last night, we attended my brother-in-law's 50th birthday party. Lori had pulled off a surprise party, which was very impressive. It was a lovely evening and, as always, family stayed late into the evening.
I am thankful for the extended family that I have. I grew up away from most of my cousins. It was just me, my sister and my parents. At first, Keith's family was overwhelming, deer in the headlights kind of overwhelming. But, after 20+ years, I have overcome {most} of my shyness and absolutely love family get togethers.
And the good thing about family is that it keeps on growing.
