Today I'm thankful for the developing relationship that happens when I stop being mom as my children grow up. Now, I'll always be Mom, but the roll of mothering and rearing will be set aside shortly, way too shortly for my liking. But, I love how my kids are becoming people in their own right and I love how our relationship is changing to be more equal and more give-n-take.
I took Leah shopping today for pants (its getting chilly for us poor 'zonies) and we also had lunch (Chipotle!). I enjoy her company. Isn't that wonderful? I think so.
