One of the great things about the company I work for is on the day before major holidays, they will close their offices at noon and most of the employees get the rest of the afternoon off.
I have started a tradition of shopping for boots on the day before Thanksgiving, now that I know that I just need to keep on trying on boots in bigger and bigger sizes until I can zip the boots closed over what are apparently freakishly large calves.
My shopping trip was successful this year too.
