Crop Circles

We got a little bit of rain at the end of last week. And now, we have little crop circles now growing in our yard.

We're not sure why they are growing in circles, but they do seem to follow the outline of the darker grass circles. The family theory is that it has something to do with the ant population in our yard and their underground homes and farms.

Who really knows why, but it does give us an excuse to take the dogs outside with camera in hand and enjoy the God-given crop.

We have lonely mushrooms, all by themselves . . .

. . . and mushrooms in close knit groups.

Some mushrooms are a little exposed . . .

. . . and others that should learn how to blush.

Even though the puppies were out and about with us, none of the pictures snapped came with the unplanned bonus that came when we first got our little monster.
Weather forecast for tonight: dark.

We call those fairy rings. They always grow in circles like that.
