Flowers in Drought

All winter, our bougainvillea was very plain. No flowers at all.

You see, we had a leak in our hose and it was watering the bougainvillea {very well}.

And, unlike most plants, the bougainvillea will put out its flowers when it lacks water and not when it has an abundance of water. So, when to boys fixed the leak, the bougainvillea went crazy.

The whole plant is covered in blossoms and I just love it.
