Don't believe for a second that they were actually sleeping! This is how they torture their mother. Leah would have been pretending to sleep too, but she just wasn't as fast as the younger ones.
We decided to drive over Hoover Dam. Its always a debate. Do we go through Laughlin or go over the dam? One time it took us over 2 hours to go over the dam in the worst stop-n-go traffic ever. Since then, we've gambled and haven't had a problem since.
Plus, you can't beat getting to talk about the dam bridge, the dam visitors, or the dam tour. That gets many giggles and gets taken way to far by all in the car.
They are building a bridge to by-pass the dam, but it seems like it is taking forever! It is going to be a very high bridge. I'm working on developing a phobia of bridges in support of Grams and I'm thinking that bridge looks too high.
Ah, a peaceful moment on a road trip. Did it last long? Yes - they all had their own music.
Grams' drove up with John and Lori Saturday morning and drove home with us on Sunday.
A diplomat... is a person who can tell you to go to hell in such a way that you actually look forward to the trip.

i like all of your dam pictures! ha ha, i couldn't resist. we always have dam jokes when we have gone. we leave next thursday for las vegas. we are going with some friends that are eloping. so shhhh!
