Super Bowl Party

What is the statue of limitations on posting Super Bowl Party pictures? Hopefully it is longer than a week, because I am a smidge late in sharing a few pics...

My sister's MIL graciously invited us over to her super bowl party this year. And, since I am familiar with her reputation as a party thrower and a chef {she hosted my sister's rehearsal dinner and prepared the dinner}, we jumped at the chance to enjoy her hospitality again.

The latest rage amongst the Barrett girls is making chalk boards of all shapes and sizes. Jill has a few, one large and one portable. Kim's {Jill's MIL} has electricity and a beautiful frame!

The food was really wonderful, as you would expect, but the pièce de résistance goes to Amy who made this beautifully delicious edible arrangement. I had my share of spears {someone had to eat them}.

You'll notice that the watermelon is the football helmet and the cantaloupes {with the number 45 on them} are the shoulder pads.  What you can't really see is the chocolate drizzled on the fruit. A delicious touch!

And, of course, the football game was on...

...but I really was waiting to see the commercials...

...and Jill wanted to do a little beautifying of her blog, so we spent some time doing that. And, someone had recently gotten an ipad, so that was brought out to be shown off too.

And, while we usually host a Super Bowl party ourselves, having a big screen and all, it was nice to skip the preparation and enjoy Jill's family for a change.
